StartFragmentI just picked up a handmade jacket and I am extremelypleased with the quality. I was able to custom design my coat and basicallypick out everything I wanted. The guy I got it from has a large variety of options you can choosefrom depending on how much your looking to spend. All of his fabric is 3 layerweather you choose the cheaper option or the more expensive option. He's a local guy and just starting out & trying to help him get the word out on this sick opportunity. You should check out his website if your interested in something like this.

So I picked up one of his jackets as well and I have to say its the best jacket I've ever owned. To be able to pick out everything from the zipper color to the stitching thread color is so amazing. Everyone always wants to just have that perfect jacket that is exactly what they want it to be and thats what I got. It was really crazy to be able to sit down and tell Marvik exactly what I wanted in my jacket and then see out come out even better than I could have believed it to be. I haven't gotten wet at the mountain or walking to class since I got this jacket. I think the best part is thou when I go to the bars people will ask me what brand my jacket is and its great to be able to say "well actually its hand made and custom!!" Heres some pics for ya!

Can you post a picture of the inside? I have yet to seen a picture of the inside of these jackets.

For pricing it really depends on what you want to get. He should have a order form that he can send you via email. His is nickmarvik@gmail.com. I think generally the jackets run between 175-300 depending on what fabric you get and how many pockets you want. You best bet would be to just shoot him a email. I paid about 200 bucks for my jacket and it was totally worth it.

Also to the above post I'll have pictures of the inside in a hour or so I just gotta get my camera back from my friend.

Here are a few photos from one of the jackets. Keep in mind there are a handful of different seam taping options, depending on the price range of the buyer.

Mines not insulated, Its just a shell but I just rock like a flannel or fleece under my jacket and its fine. He can add fleece to the neck area but as for insulation more than that you would have to email him. www.nickmarvik.com

For those who want to see the jackets in action, here is a video of one of the jackets in some of the most extreme conditions.... DEEP SNOW!

Don't own a jacket myself yet but I know Nick well and I can tell he puts a lot of effort and precision into the making of these things and it really shows. They can be customized to your price range, desired fit and the colors can be customized all the way to the drawstrings and zippers. Super good quality, would fool you for an established brand name jacket, and I haven't met anyone yet who wasn't extremely pleased with how they look. Keep it up Nick!

these jackets are way sick. Nick makes them exactly how you want, fully custom, and doesn't half ass it. sick stuff

My newest design. Black 3 layer waterproof, breathable, windproof. Neon green zippers, thread & draw cord. Let me know what you think

i own one, and i can tell you that the 3L gore-tex allows for a windproof shell that will prevent lots of wind chill. just wear a few layers underneath and youll be good. i find that if i ever overheat, i can zip it down just a little and ill cool off in a matter of seconds
