Half-life 2 help

anybody here with half life 2 had any diffuculty. i try to play it, but it says that the game is not ready to be played offline, even when im online. steam says im logged in and all that good shit. thank you valve, for being such a pain in the ass. ideas???

well to tell you the truth steam is fuckin gay and sucks big penis bcause tha thappens to me sometimes.... it wont connect and wont let me play games sometimes like CS. and im like wtf? Steam y are you so gay?

 
sux for u guys, ive never had any problems with steam. anyway, have you tried contacting steam/valve?

comeon, get yourself a patch to kill that steam stuff. i dont know for sure if i got my hl2 from a legal source but the steam patch did it for me. although my comp is too slow to play it.
