Half a brake missing question

my wuestion is would a shop mount a binding with only one prong brake thing on them

not sure... my buddy did have a shop fuck up his mount though and accidently break off one of the brakes when they were mounting it so they gave him the mount for free

im not 100% sure about that but worst case scenario they could probably give you a new brake for like 5$

This, UNLESS it's an FKS/Pivot binding, then you'll have to find someone with spare brakes for them (which is hard to do). You could call up the shop and see if they'll do it for you.

Shops arent allowed to mount with a compromised brake. If you know them well, they might be willing to help you out. A case of beer for the tech is a great motivator.

As long as it's only the arms that are messed up you can retro-fit PX brake arms (or any of the clones I assume) to them. At least it worked with my P12 Jib. You squeeze the arms of the brakes together until they pop out of the pedal. Took us about an hour to work out how to get the new ones in, but it worked nicely in the end.
