No I wouldn't. An average turtle is roughly 6 by 8 inches, that is not enough room to fit any type of visible furniture. It would have to be microscopic, and plus your pee pee is on the outside, so having any sort of furniture inside would be of no use. I bet he barely even pays taxes. Hes a smart, devious fucker- I bet he has worked every loophole, sneaky exemption and off-shore exception until he could pay his taxes on his several-hundred-million in holdings with a roll of fucking quarters. There HAS to be a reason he's hiding them, and I for one would love to know what reason that is and what he's hiding.

I hope the facts come out just as the election is ramping up. Romney is terrifying, and that's coming from a Mass resident whose insurance premiums skyrocketed after his HORRIBLE legislation went through. I mean he literally made it a law that you have to have insurance, but didn't regulate the industry itself at all, so now the insurance companies rates have gone WAY up, and they're free to fleece the people as they see fit! Oh, and if you don't pay them, well then you're issued a tax penalty from the state LOL... I mean what the fuck, who even makes this shit up???

The guy is a fucking lunatic. Sure, he knows how to make money- by fucking over everyone who doesn't belong to his yacht club, that is. Fucking Romney.

Sure, Romney talks a big game but his actual dealings as a government official have been terrible AT BEST.

Okay, first, I don't know much about US personal income tax but I kinda doubt you pay taxes on your holdings.

Second, who cares? If what he's doing is legal, he'd be an idiot NOT to structure his personal affairs in such a way as to minimize tax. If he had a ton of income and was paying more tax than he could be if he planned properly, that poor planning on his part would be a better criticism of his ability to manage a country.

However, Mitt absolutely makes my skin crawl. OF COURSE it's legal and that's what bothers me- people who have helicopters and multiple estates doing financial gymnastics to avoid paying their fair share when I sure as hell have to pay mine come hell or high insurance premiums backed by threat of tax penalty lol... And you think he's going to do anything to recoup those lost tax revenues? Hell no.

I don't really care if he releases them or not to be honest, I already know he's a fucking policy nightmare anyways, it would just be fun to see how little he pays back in.
 
There enlies the issue at hand, right? that if you prepare well enough, and send most, if not all of your holdings offshore, and hide your true revenues, you can dodge around the tax system.

Man, if everyone did that, that's one surefire way to empty out the country's coffers...
 
It matters when the candidate is running on the premise that people like himself are being "taxed to death" and unable to "create jobs" because of those taxes.

If we all did as he undoubtedly does, we would be FUCKED. Plain and simple. I'd love for someone to pull back the covers and literally put him on the spot and say "Wow, Mitt- if we all paid taxes like you, this country would be about $6 short of having enough for a pack of smokes".
 
How about we worry about the 49.7% of people in the US who pay ZERO income taxes? Instead of if ONE guy is using legal loopholes to save some tax money.

I'm guessing that one of those situations will be more beneficial to the country than the other.

It's not like he started Apple Computers in his garage or something.

That and... I feel like letting a businessman run the government is just asking for business corruption..

Not to mention some studies (too lazy to google for you, but I trust your typing abilities) say that the amount in these loopholes from the top few % is at least equal to the amount "unpaid" by the bottom 49.7%.
 
Romney was born into wealth. He created a "shit load" from a lot. If you're going to get all "american dream rags to riches" Obama is more of the guy that fits that story. Dude was raised by a single mother, got his education in large part due to scholarships, became president and payed his student debt off 2 years before taking office.

Romney has never had very little of anything in his whole life, except personality.

Your point is valid, Romney did make money due to his own personal efforts.

However I think that work that Bain capital did was immoral and should probably be illegal. From what i understand it is a venture capital enterprise that finds businesses that are in financial trouble, guts all the retirement plans/workers comp, then files for a bankruptcy. Tax dollars pay for this. Bain employees then get a huge bonus for the "work".

Socialize the loss privatize the gain.

I have no doubt that he could turn this country around financially, you just wont find out what his plan is until he's elected president or if you buy his book apparently.

The scary part is that he's a business man so all that matters to him is the bottom line. His VP pick, Ryan, is no different in the fact that he doesn't give a shit about what's done as long as its done.

He doesn't give a shit about the environment, as shown by his job creation/energy plans and wanting to end federal tax credits for all energy outlets except for the oil companies.

He wants corporations, financial institutions and Wall Street to have less regulations... because as history has shown, you can really trust people who care only about profit to look out for the good of everyone and the economy.

He wants to repeal Obama's healthcare act which would leave millions of Americans uninsured and footing the bill for very common items such as birth control.

He wants more benefits in S.S. for those in higher income brackets and to make the Bush tax cuts permanent for them as well (how does this save us money? I have no clue).

And this is all forgetting the fact that he wants to ban gay marriage, reinstate the ban on gays in the military, ban abortion and all federal funding to Planned Parenthood which would end it essentially.

I could go on but really, are we desperate enough to take a chance on a guy who is completely willing to change everything he believes in just so he can hold a higher office?

Remember, he would be the most powerful person in the world. Do you really want that?
