You wouldnt believe how easy it was,

but you can probably guess what was found

Right now he is still in the UK, hopefully he wont get extradited here.

several years he hacked in like 2001 , 2002, but he still hasnt been on trial. plus it think its a cool story and amazing how poor our security was.

How do they know he's not full of shit? Has the United States government actually come out and said he hacked them? If he's lying it explains why he hasn't been prosecuted.

Umm, I doubt it. I know how dumb the government can be, but there is no way they allowed classified information to be put on computers without an administrative password that were connected to the internet. My dad works at Lockheed, and all of the classified work they do is done on computers that have absolutely no ties to anything outside of Lockheed. They have a local network, and that's it. Those computers NEVER get connected to the internet or anything that could allow them to be accessed by some hacker in the UK.

I know he didn't hack Lockheed. And I'm not saying he didn't hack anything. I'm saying I doubt he found information on anti-gravity and other highly sensitive classified information on computers without administrative passwords and connected to an outside network.

so you think they were dumb enough to hook up some computers to the internet with no passwords, but smart enough to keep all sensitive and classified information off those computers?? haha come on.

If they were relying on their firewall to protect them, I can see that. If I remember correctly, they had to redo all of their firewall/anti-hacker stuff within the past year or two because of incidents like this. And since they used images to get all the computers up and running, it's not surprising that if one computer was set up without a password, all ~2000 computers set up from it wouldn't have one either.

even if they had firewalls, to use windows with no passwords on administrator accounts hooked up to the internet is just asking for trouble.

100 percent guarentee that whole interview was fake, if a hacker did actually manage to hack past our national security grid those office buildings dont just "shut down at night" even so, if someone saw an actual image of a verifiable alien space craft im sure they would have the intelligence to get some hard copy of it. so many holes in his story.

oh wow a password... thats really hard to get through huh?

with bruteforcing, or whatever is out there nowadays...

You find open streams, you use these streams...

follow enough streams you can get in

and also the goverment was recently hacked by other countries anyways, and these were locked accounts. They stole information about a new jet or something.

This isnt anything new. And Obama has just gotten a cybersecurity team out there...taken long enough

thats the point, it wasnt hard to get through you fucking moron. even Mckinnon says he really wasnt that clever.

did you read what years he was hacking? it wasnt yesterday.

your post is an incoherent rambling

the US government almost NEVER admits to being hacked.
one the same shady note, if what he was saying is true, i'd think he would have been "taken care of" by now...

i read somewhere some stuff on bruteforce that showed if there password is longer then 3 characters it takes years to hack. it was like simple math and the way bruteforce works

but word of this guys story was already out, even if it was 8 years ago. If the government did "take care of him" it would just show that they do have something to hide. so by not reacting in such a manor, it makes them look innocent.
or at least this makes sense in my head

you're talking about this as though you're an authority... yet you completely failed to realize that if the government wanted him killed, they certainly wouldn't have it done in any way that could be linked back to them. it would be outside entities seemingly acting by their own will. do you REALLY think the US government is going to take out someone like this in such a way that it would come back to them?
if there's a real problem, it gets taken care of, goddamn the law.

No, but then again, who would have thought the U.S. government was using default windows passwords on highly classified computers.
You're right. I'm sure if they were going to kill this guy they would do it in a way so that no one would even know he existed in the first place, but perhaps at first they weren't entirely sure as to what information he had actually obtained. So by the time word got out of what he found (if there is even any truth to it) it would have look awfully suspicious if he just "died" one day.
And on another note, in that interview with his mother, didn't she mention something about him not being able to lie to to whatever disease he has that made him obsess over things? I couldnt understand what she was saying at that part.

Highly sensitive information isn't just tossed onto an HP laptop and hooked up to the internet while the guy sits there and plays Gnarshmallow. Most classified computers don't get hooked to the rest of the world both because they don't need to and because it is obvious that the info could be compromised. I call bullshit, but who knows. People have done more stupid things before.

i cant begin to tell you how flawed your logic is. There is so much material on the internet, including youtube (which actually is owned by google) that the government would prefer to not be out there.

former astronauts edgar mitchell and gordon cooper talk about their knowledge of UFOs on youtube. Think that reflects well on the government?

there are a few videos on youtube outlining the northwoods documents. Declassified documents (which can be found on a government website) in which the US planned to attack itself and blame it on cuba so we could go to war with them. that looks awful for our government but thats still on youtube....

please explain that

a lot of the posts in this thread are more entertaining than the video in question.

my threads for more lulz.
