So today I decided to pierce my own ear, it was just kinda spur of the moment and I did it. it was my friends earring and I just kinda shoved it through. It didn't really hurt but I was just like fuck it, it's high school. But the only bad part about it is it's an infinity symbol and it hurts really fucking bad when I put it back in(I took it out to clean it). But does any other guy here have an earring? And suggestions for dope earrings are necessary
 
Have you ever been into a high end professional piercing shop and looked at the photos that they display with what can go wrong warnings?

I haven't but that's a really big concern of mine. But I do know many people that have pierced their own ears and haven't had a problem
 
confused on one thing....you said "it is the infinity symbol" like are we talking basically a cookie cutter the shape of the infinity symbol through your ear?....Or just a infinity symbol with a pin on the back?

If its just normal, you should have done it at a shop...most of my buddies botched theirs back in the day, doing it them selves. Got mine pierced at 16...wore em every day until about 19, never wore them since.

If you did some fucked up cookie cutter infinity symbol in the ear, you're an idiot.
 
The "gay ear" has switched back and forth a lot throughout the years and in different cities and what not. I don't think it's common knowledge that it is the right ear, either way be prepared for a lot of jokes.
 
Personals can be fine or go terribly. If it gets infected, take it out, but just watch for signs. It's obviously just one case, but my home-done one healed faster than either of my two professionally done normal piercings.
 
Youre worried about the gay ear thing...but you put an infinity symbol earring thru your ear..wow okay.

Umm OP if u want pierced ears get them done at a shop and get some studs or something. That earring is real dumb. And when you clean it, dont take the earring out just put some peroxide on a cotton swap or q-tip and clean it that way. Your ear wont heal if you just keep taking it in and out. And its gonna hurt like hell doing so.

I need some new earrings, had mine pierced since I was 16 but havent worn any since one got ripped out on vacation back in june.

I was with a girl and she was wearing that earring and I sterilized it with a lighter then I sent it on through, then when I met up with a different girl about 10 minutes later we went to a cvs and got rubbing alcohol and I took it out to clean it more. I've cleaned it 2 other times after that to be careful and used a q tip

What do they do differently where you would get it done professionally?

Don't you think it's too early to tell? I did a little research and it said that all ears will be red after piercing. And sorry for the triple post, quoting multiple posts on mobile is annoying

dont clean it again with rubbing alcohol. Get hydrogen peroxide. Rubbing alcohol hurts like a motherfucker. Been there done that

depends. If you go to "claire's" they just punch a hole through your ear with their piercing gun--this just "pushes" the skin out of the way and chances for scar tissue are higher. If you go to a piercing shop they use a hollow needle--like it takes a small piece of your ear out, rather than just pushing it out of the way.

Also, don't take it out when you clean it--you're not supposed to take new piercings out for months.

these are hollow needles--you could have ordered one online if you had planned the piercing out more than 15 seconds in advance...even then Amazon could have probably delivered.

i mean...its more sanitary than doing what you did. But since you already pierced it i guess the damage is done. Just keep up with cleaning it and you should be okay. Mine did get infected but if you just clean them properly a lot you should be okay.
 
I don't get earrings on guys they can be cool I guess but I just think they are a little gay let alone an infinity symbol.
 
Bad news, the earring fell out last night and I lost it in my bed. And I'm not going to put it in for a little while because the hole already closed
 
Its mad cool to get your right ear only pierced when you aren't gay its a head fake to bitches they don't know what to think. Been rocking a clip on on the right for years serious chick magnet.
