Gus Kenworthy KOS '10

That 16 was easily the ugliest thing I've ever seen. When people say dumb shit like, "Skiing is turning into aerials!", that's what they mean.
Eww.
The rest...I'm feeling the dub grab in the dub flat, and the nose to blunt.

well have you seen a better grabbed double sixteen? and yes, the rest was mighty stylish. i particularly like the right cork 9 blunt myself.

Holy fuck.

That was easily my favourite KoS edit of the year. The Dub 16 was flawless, and that is from someone who usually detests dub corks.

The kid has immaculate style and air awareness aswell. But the grabs made that edit. Cork 9 leading Noseblunt to trailing Blunt, Rodeo high mute, Dub flat 10 Japan to Mute.

Enough said.

And if you want to know what "skiing becoming aerials" actually looks like, take a look at Dylan Ferguson's edit.

That's not the point...it just looked incredibly hucked, penciled, and sloppily landed.
Plus, I would argue that Schiller's was better at X if it were the point.
The reason that you nor I have seen a "better grabbed double sixteen" is because pretty much by definition any dub 16 is going to look like shit. Sammy's trip looked much better and way less hucked.
Sorry, that shit just looked bad.

I will definitely say that after looking at TJ's double at xgames, you are right about that. but I completely disagree with you about Sammy's triple looking better. I thought it was quite hucked, with maybe a slightly better landing.

dunno if i agree with you first two posts, but ya i was going to say TJ's dub 16 looked fine to me, he held the grab a lot longer than gus did. plus throwing it in a comp like xgames is just so much sicker.

otherwise, that was probably my favorite KOS so far.

So dope. Some of the best in-air style. He might not force afterbang after every trick but damn is he smooth.

i remember when he used to, that was bad. so smooth now. i just realized that at about 20 seconds in it was a switch 10, not 7. so damn silky

like i said in a later post, i looked back at TJ's double sixteen, and I completely agree. The rest of the edit is banger though.

Yeah, I agree. They were two different dub 16's. The one from the back was the better one I did, but there wasn't a landing angle unfortunately. I agree, the one from the heli is a little hectic looking. Glad that you guys are liking the edit though! Thanks!

seriously? the last part of the second dub 16 looked *a little* hectic, but other than that, both 16's were downright biblical. as was the rest of the edit god DAMN gus is good at jumping

Oh my. That was easily the best KoS edit ive ever seen. I just decided that i need to buy the way i see it

a little? come on now...
He totally opened up, and borderline panicked it looked like. I'm not trying to be a dick or hate, I think the edit overall was very impressive and I have been slowly and surely persuaded to become a bit of a Gus fan (the one armed edit did the trick). But, that trick was not anything approaching stomped, clean, and it damn sure wasn't biblical.
The first 16 looked ok, but it was a poor angle.

And I know its a big air style contest. I'd just like to see a couple shots, because gus usually goes pretty big on rails

Second one was still far from sketchy or hucked though and the first one is pretty flawless to me, sick edit.

Gus has gotta get props for this man, his style has come on so much this season, always had the tricks but this year they look awesome.

I am amused at the people who try to sound like the style police, then you go to their profiles and see a bunch of pics of them doing everything but skiing. Way to kill it Gus, very impressive.

I am amused at the people who try to pretend like they speak Spanish, then you look at their names and see that they don't even know that the letter F is never doubled in Spanish.

dude, i know you're not just trying to hate on gus, but just from reading brobomb, i feel like you have a bit of a grudge against dubs in general. the landing on the second one really wasn't that sloppy, and the first one looked totally grabbed, and pretty damn smooth for how much rotation he put in it.

Some of my cohorts may be something of "dub haters", but I'm not. I'm a big fan of comp skiing and technical jumping.
I'm allowed to think a trick was ugly...and I thought the 2nd dub in the edit (which I thought was actually the same trick but shot from a different angle) looked awful. Gus himself didn't even think it looked all that great.
There's no grudge, you're over analyzing it.
