Gus Kenworthy clap backs

I'm going to take a lot of flak for this but I don't understand why you're calling him out over this, he didn't just go and block him or report him like a bitch, he took the time and fired back at some annoying little PoS. Not only did he fall out the little fuck he me here and apologized for overreacting, IMO he didn't do anything wrong this time around.

No. I completely agree.

Fat lives matter, Gus! /s

Fuck are skiers meant to be perfect role models? Don't be such a pussy ass bitch, Gus responding to these trolls is fucking hilarious.

Nope not perfect, you'd just think someone with "1 million channel followers" would have thicker skin.

Damn nice "clapback" dude. Got you all hot and bothered enough to post twice about the same comment eh?

Mods should delete you for being an emotional little bitch. What's your instagram account btw?

Agree, commenting back and making fun of the kids who were making fun of me probably wasn't the most professional, or the coolest thing to do. However if I hadn't said anything it's not like there would have been a thread that said "Mad respect for Gus Kenworthy for not responding to trolls?" No. Nobody cares. I ignore the bullshit negative comments 98% of the time, I delete them, sometimes I block the kids and it's fine, it happens, I get it. But sometimes it's just super uncalled for and it gets tiring. If someone talked shit to you on one of your profiles you would comment back. Yeah, I may have a lot more followers since the Olympics and coming out but this is still my personal account and I see all the comments, for better and for worse. I posted a photo of a friend standing in the mountains. It had nothing to do with my sexuality, it wasn't rude, it wasn't arrogant or disrespectful or anything else that would warrant flack. I should've blocked the kid and moved on but I felt like responding. When I was 15, all I wanted to do was be a pro skier. I had TJ and my favorite pros as my top friends on MySpace, I know that's lame, I repeatedly watched their video parts and contest runs. I had cut outs and posters all over my room. I drew pictures of ski jumps and companies' logos. I was a fan. I was excited. There was no Instagram or really much of anything to help connect me to them like there is now but if there was I wouldn't have ever dreamed of trying to talk trash to them. I am not asking for any compliments or validation or anything like that. You don't have to be my fan and you don't have to follow me but I'd like to be treated with the same respect you would like to be treated with. End rant.

Coming here and posting explanations for your controversial Internet moves is the definition of seeking validation.

End unpopular opinion.

Also when did the term "clapback" come into play? Sounds like some sort of sex party where people are just trading crabs back and forth.

Whoops thought you quoted me twice, sorry dawg.

Emotional bitch section of my comment still holds true though.

Everyone deserves the same respect, but on the internet you're never going to get it. People will always be extremely cruel no matter what you do or say. Acknowledging them is like putting gas on the fire. None of them have done what you've done and never will. Of course their shit talking is unwarranted. Of course they're living in moms basement with the only fight they have being that of a keyboard warrior... But you really have to be bigger than them. Nobody cares if you're gay, straight, black, white, hindu, jewish, or whatever the fuck people like to classify other people as. All "we" (as members of the ski community) want to see is you out there skiing and killing it.Which you've already done and will continue to do. Getting caught up in the children's hate just brings you down. You have to ignore it, and rise above it just like you've risen above so much to get where you are. Go look at any big youtuber out there and I guarentee they have some segment in a video somewhere about how they've dealt with the "hater" and relentless scumbags on their videos. you can block them or whatever but eventually, ignoring them is the only way. I hope you read this Gus, and I hope you take me seriously because I think everybody is skiing is a friend of mine and I don;t like seeing friends go through rough times.

Yo honestly good for him for defending himself. You guys suck.

Everyone here loves @stopskiing on insta, loves to see other skiers fire back at kids, I love all that too, but when Gus does anything everyone things he did something wrong. Ya he made mistakes and he's lost respect but come on, he's a human. You think all celebrities and professionals just don't have feelings and can deal with everything? By him replying to comments is no different than stop skiing or chris laker chirping jesper on the slvsh insta which you all went nutz for.

I'm not anything near a celebrity or even an amature skier and I get called out on instgram from some other skiers all the time. It sucks, you do nothing wrong and people hate on you. Everyone is human, sometimes its too much to handle.

Give the guy a fucking break

I feel this on a deep level. Haha

who cares. really.. gus is being a child just like the children posting to his accounting. im tired of the action sports industry making it such a big deal for what he did. there are millions of individuals who have the same internal struggle and you dont see them going out and making a 4 minute video that is being abused by espn every action sports event they can. you went from having this secret to shoving at everyone that looks your way.

lol hes an olympic skier why does he care what one guys says? he is literally better than that person, on another note, yeah thats pretty depressing that gus would sink to that level.

And for the most part he has shown great resisliance. I remember going onto Gus's account after he came out to see if anything had changed and he had a fair few homophobic comments on there.

But what you fail to see is people have a tipping point, where they can't take it anymore. Personally I want to see Gus feed the trolls more it's fucking hilarious when celebs call out no bodies.

Case and point.

GUS ASSERT YOUR ALPHA DOMINANCE ON THESE FUCKBOYS AND FLAME THEM FOR THE SHIT LIVES THEY HAVE. IT'S FUCKING HILARIOUS.

Pretty lame of all these 12 year olds coming at Gus with the very poor, not thought out gay "jokes". But pretty weak of Gus to relate everything to likes on instagram and views on youtube, is that really what his/other pro skiers lives revolve around outside of skiing? How many followers/likes/views his shit gets? Sounds like a lot of wasted energy on some dumb shit that doesn't even matter.

FOR HIRE: SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Name: Skiierman

Age: 34

Date: No thank you, I'm not gay.

Education: Some HS, 2 years at Virginia Tech.

Experience: Becoming the most hated person in the ski industry.

What can I do for you?

- With access to your social media accounts, I will personally respond to every hateful and immature comment left on your profile. With special guidelines as outlined by you, my client, I will ban accounts depending on the content so you never have to see or deal with them.

What this does for you?

- My efforts will free up precious hours, possibly even days that you would otherwise be spending on managing your own social media accounts.

Pay: $2.00 for each deleted comment, $3.00 for each banned account. $20/hour for clever responses to mean comments.

Probably the most mature thing to do would be just delete the comments, but hell, it's his account and he has the right to reply to homophobic little fatties if he wants to. The photoshop thing was whack, but Gus is killing it this season skiing, so what the hell does it matter!?

13652366:Rparr said:
Not sure why he even wastes the time replying to trolls

Agreed. The fact that he even acknowledges people hating on his posts is ridiculous.. it reads like a 6th grader arguing on Facebook

I think he would show more "resisliance" by ignoring the comments or actually coming up with witty responses rather than just showing how flustered he is.

Any way, the kid's face along with his comments make me lol so much for some reason. Scored me a new avatar.

Yikes man. There is something called "getting above it." I get the insecurity thing, but get above it. The people that are trolling you are either young, stupid or both. Getting in the mud with them is below your pay grade.

I get it is a lot to have going on and there are a ton of shitty people in the world, but hopefully you can set your phasers to ignore and find a way to block the hate. Probably the best thing would be to straight up ignore the comment section of a while and revisit in 6 months.

13652516:CrotchKiller said:
Lol, who takes insults that involve number of followers seriously? Makes you sound like some meme posting Internet bitch not a professional fucking skier.

Solid. Yeah, this is the rough equivalent of a celeb pulling the "do you know who I am?" card. Number of followers....Sheesh. There are tons of half-naked chicks on the internet with 5 times the followers of Gus and God knows the comments that show up on their feeds.

Respect. This deserves endless upvotes

You forgot these two screencaps...

You can let things go for so long but if you call someone out about their language and get this response, Then I think you are fully justified in claping back in the first place. Im with Gus on this one.

Whatever man, i would done the same thing. I deal with alot of annoying ass kids and haters on my insta.. obviously their comments arent anything compared to the bigotry on Gus' page, but it bothers me nonetheless. I used to clap back with kids until i realized that taking the high road is always the better move.

Every once in a while i will get some comments that truly piss me off and i'll comment back but mostly i just block people.

I got so pissed at one kid that i actually posted photo of this kid and a caption lol. I would never do that again.... but i totally feel for gus on this one. Everyone has breaking point and if i were gus i guarantee i would have done the same thing. Those comments are fuckin vulgar.

Side note, heres the picture i post. Yea it was an overreaction and i regret stooping to that kids level lol but it was pretty funny.

Hey, why don't we all leave Gus the fuck alone and let him do his thing and stop worrying about it. He's handling things the way he feels is best for him and that's all that matters...it has absolutely nothing to do with any of us. He deserves to defend himself just like the rest of us. I can pretty much guarantee that most of the people on this planet have never been in his situation and nobody has any right to judge him for reacting to things we have literally no understanding of on an emotional level. If you want to go out and be a professional skier, great, do whatever the fuck you want and handle it however the fuck you want but JFC stop telling Gus how he needs to do that. I'm sure he gets pulled in a million different directions enough in his life and he probably doesn't need it from a bunch of fucking losers on the internet. You all suck so much.

I like tanner, I don't like gus, not much more to it then that.

Don't see how that's relevant here, Gus lives to be a role model and maintain a positive image in the eyes of the public, Tanner never has and never will.
