Gunnison, Co Housing

I'm trying to move out to Gunnison to attend western state starting in January, and am trying to set up a living situation for next semester! Just wondering if anyone on newschoolers had an open room they were trying to fill up in a shared house/apartment, or knew of anyone in that situation. Would rather try that before settling with a one bedroom apartment by myself. Let me know if you have anything that can help me out!

you probably arn't since you're starting in Jan, but I think freshman have to live in the dorms, if this doesn't apply to you then I'm sorry that you'll never get these few seconds back but you can consider this post a free bump.
 
im a freshman so ill be in the dorms but im starting next semester too we should ski sometime
 
cant help with the room but there is a weekly news paper in gunni called the gunnison county shopper. its nothing but classified ads and there is usually a decent amount of room situations in there. If ur going there to be a ski bum it wouldnt hurt to look in the upper end of the valley, places like Crested Butte South and Riverbend are decently cheap too. i live in CB south (like 8 miles south of CB) commute to western 3 days a week(20 miles each way), and work at CFS at the base area of the resort and its not that bad and im only paying a little over 300 a month. There is an RTA service too and highway 135 is the most hitchhiked in the country so commuting up and down valley without a car is no big deal. hope that helps
