ya thats a really nice guitar Harvey.... Ive got a Gibson Les Paul classic n i play in a band so i play a lot... I just blew a grand on the guitar so between that and camp i have absolutely no money

i just have an old yamaha but my dads friend has a gibson that he got signed personaly just for him by all members of acdc

This is really cool, I used to have a gibson SG. Wich are in my opinion, the best guitars in the world. They sounds good and they are the styliesh.

My dad has the Hendrix Edition American Standard Strat.

im not a big strat fan i personally like tele's a lot better... I like the way the neck feels a lot better... but that Hendrix strat is retty nice... i really want a 1958 am stand tele... I would have gotten that instead of the les paul but it was like $6,000

i got a Ibanez S-Series Custom and a Paul Reid Smith...pretty nice set-ups...i like to play shit like KoRn, Rage and Staind...so i got the right geetars i think...

well, I play a shitty Epiphone, it's not very good, I mean, it plays well, but I'd love a LP or SG, [someday!], but 7 strings are....pointless? if you have a bass player, you dont need one. if you like bass that much, get one, they are WAY funner than a 7 string. but my Epiphone gets the job done, it looks ok, Dr. Frank from the Mr. T Experience plays the EXACT same guitar, i didn't know that when I bought it though, but it's a pretty good guitar I guess. I got a LOT more for my money with it than I would with any other guitar.

 
I'm not too big of a strat fan either.. when I got my glp, I used to bash strats so hard... but obviously their pretty good guitars. I love the sound of teles though.. they're sooooooo 'tuby'.. it's cool.

You play Korn with a PRS? eek... super sweet guitar though.. when I played a lot, I wanted one soooooooo bad. But I didn't want to sell my lp.

Anyone play acoustic?

korn is scary, but wes from limp bizkit used a prs, ive never played one though, and one of the guys from sum 41 uses a prs too

I play acoustic too dude...i have an Ovation Acoustic, it's pretty bad ass. It gets the job done

I don't have an acoustic, looking at some though, but it is pretty fun to play unplugged for a change, you can only play with distortion so much and then you need a change of pace every once in awhile.

 
Definately like accoustic (or at least a clean sound) better than the crunch of distortion. Mind you I still love my Big Muff sound, and my Jackson's giving me an evil look from across the room.

on a longshot: Does anyone here happen to have an Electroharmonix MicroSynth? and wanna give it to me?

 
and when you play clean you can really tell how good/bad you are, because it's harder to sound good clean than it is with distortion.

 
maybe thats why all the 'death metal' bands use a hell of a lot of distortion... they suck, haha

yeah pretty much, I mean, some of them could possibly be good, I dunno, but tons of distortion makes you sound better.

 
I wouldn't go raggin on metal guitartists. I mean i don't really like metal, but those guys (for the most part) are pretty damn good guitarists. Takes alot of skill to play metal solos and whatnot. I don't enjoy them so much, but i definately respect them.

 
good point, I forgot about all the extended solos and stuff. but other than that, you gotta admit, that you can't really tell whether they are good or not, because they could be like really good guitarists, but jsut choose to play simple easy heavily distorted stuff cause that's what they like.

 
exactly...if it's what they like...then why do you rag on them?? you play what you like, and they'll play what they like. No one rags on you cuz you play what you play...i give major props to anyone who can make it in the music biz...through scandals and bankrupcy and all that

i play acoustic as well ive got a montana...i think its a custom gutiar company but im not really sure i got it as a gift so i dont know much about it but it sounds great

I play other peoples' basses every once in awhile, it's fun to just screw around on and stuff, because it's different and everything, only problem is I screw up because I'm so used to the smaller frets on a guitar. but yeah it's cool.

it's all about the warlock that i've got. someday i might have to upgrade to a flying v.

 
no way man warlocks are so ugly. I can't stand those things. or any other of those BC Rich guitars for that matter. they blow. a flying V though, those are pretty cool. but warlocks suck. they're so nasty.

 
hellllz no. well, ok.. but i hate how everybody has a friggin strat or some ripoff les paul.. the thing that's good about bc rich is that they're pretty cheap and sound soo damn good.

 
well, strats and les pauls are good guitars, and yeah, I've heard good reviews of BC Rich's stuff, but I'd personally never even consider buying one. but the reason everybody has a strat or LP is because they sound good, and it's a proven design...well, actually, people just like them I guess. not many people have SGs though. except for emo bands. and is it just me, or does it seem like you see Telecasters EVERYWHERE nowadays? they just sorta blew up into this huge fad. even metal bands have em!

 
this is true.. actually, my all time favourite guitars are SGs and flying Vs. and maybe some paul reed smith.

 
I have a wooden one, the bridge keeps falling out of it though which is kinda gay.
