Guests numbers

maybe it's just me...but why does it seem like during midnight (eastern time) there are always a lot more guests on than during any other time..especially to the number of members...like right not at midnight..they are 231 members and 340 guests..ne thoughts?

Not sure. But it could reflect one of two things;

1. NS represents skiers across the world. So, at the time of day might be a prime hour for users from a certain country, and that country might just have alot of users that are guests and haven't bothered registering yet.

2. Alot of people may swing in to ns at that time of night just to recheck some things before they go to bed and not really feel like bothering logging in and out.

Ghost pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's really hard to say exactly why there are so many guests. I've noticed this sort of thing too though. It could also have something to do with the fact that users get automatically logged out after a certain time of in-activity. And, i'm ASSUMING that once a user is logged out but the page is still open, that he/she is then considered a guest. Why this happens around midnight... i'm not too sure.

actually ^the thing about people being logged out after a certain amount of inactive time might just explain it. i never knew that that occurs, probably because im either on newschoolers posting or whatever or i just exit out of the newschoolers...especially at late hours when im sure people just leave it on and hit the sheets or doing somethin
