Guardian 16's vs. Adrenalin 16s

In the market for some AT bindings. Do not have boots that are tech-compatible yet (plan on eventually going more lightweight down the road), so ive narrowed it down to these two bindings. Will be mounted onto a pair of 4FRNT Ravens.

Which is the better choice for someone who is planning on doing about a 50/50 split of in-bounds skiing and sidecountry/day tours? A concern is durability no doubt and ive read the guardians are a bit heavier than the Adrenalins and also may have issues with the aluminum chassis breaking. I don't plan on skiing Hoji-esque lines (mostly touring in the greater Wasatch Range) and on the flipside of that, they seem to be absolutely killer and do the job just fine. Also read about issues with the Adrenalin where snow gets built up and sometimes makes the binding go into walk mode when you don't want it too. But the binding is also rather light due to its plastic parts and gets the job done as well.

Price isn't really a major concern, but various online retailers are offering up some sweet deals with the adrenalins, but also have no issue paying nearly full-price for guardians.

Thanks in advance, yo.

Dynafit Beasts, both 14s and 16s, are selling for 250 Euros at a few places online in Europe. Thats like $280 US dollars. Theres a very reputably guy on TGR selling them for the same price as well..

I have already bought two pairs, from two different euro companies.. Both orders made it from Euro-land to Tahoe in 2 days, which is faster than most American companies ship!

eventually gonna go the dynafit in time but for now, I think a frame setup will suit me best for 50/50 split of inbounds pow skiing and sidecountry/day tours. ill check TGR out for stuff, tho. thanks for the info.

its all well and good them being 250 on sportconrad but if he doesnt have compatible boots that will be another set back...

i was making the same decision a couple years ago and went with the adrenalins. thru reading up on the two bindings i got the impression that the adrenalins would be jsut as popular as the guardians and markers if they were marketed more aggressively. im super happy with them, tho i havent gotten to use them nearly as much as i would like to

any specific questions im happy to answer

I'd recommend Adrenalins. They're lighter, they have a flat tour mode and they aren't prone to breaking like the Guardians are.

I'll never buy another pair of guardians again, not only are they heavy as fuck to walk in, it took me awhile before I find the perfect tuning for them. Will never forget that perfect day early in the season where I had the morning shift, had barely dropped in before them pre released to a tomahawk and hours of ski searching.

Adrenalins without hesitation. Had a pair of Guardians because i got them for 150 dollars. Used them one day and immediately sold them. SOOOOOOOOOOO heavy and bulky

nothing to be said for stack height? Guardians are pretty damn close to the ski, i've always found mine to ski like any other alpine binding, im not sure i'f i'd ride park on them but i think thats just as much about which skis i have them mounted on.

Adrenalins are quite abit higher off the ski, but like everybody else has said they are quite abit lighter than the guardians. personally i'd say if you're doing short tours (like 1-2hours) either will be fine, if you're going longer go with adrens or invest in a pin set up like the beast or kingpin.
