tell em the truth jeffy: you just want there to be people from this site as patrollers at grouse so they wont give us shit when we do bad things up there this year, haha

You will need O.E.C (outdoor emergency care) or I think they also except O.F.A Level 3(Occupational first aid) both of which are $$$ so I don't think it's worth it just to vollie.

unless of course you allready took those classes and you find your day consisting of: Sleep food and sleep.

ive lived in Maple Ridge for 17 years and have never skied grouse because of my racing and sunpeaks pass, but now that ive pretty much quite racing getting some twin tips and have an all area pass i think im going to be hitting it up a lot, hopefully join up with some of you guys

Well i wont be riding there much this year. ive skied there about 400-500 times in the past 5 years. ITs a good little mountain. Good park, not bad back runs.. not to busy.

oh im not planning to be there to much either, im going to try to get to whistler as much as possible same with sunpeaks, ill go to seymour during the week for night skiing

Seymour stright up lacks dude. Backcountry is the only thing they ahve. Unless they get their act together their park will suck more ass then snolerblading. So grouse is wehre a few of us, Myself Chris Mulddon and Sean ogorman will be during the week

Only times I've been up to Grouse, I've pretty much been hitting the park. So gotta ask, but what else is there on that mountain? Are there back-runs? I'm probably gonna be up at seymour for the backcountry, cuz atleast it's large, you know? In the spring tho, I'll be up at grouse for sure, the snow is cushy up there in all that sun...

i don't know bout this .. according to the web page he will be our captain

when Grouse allows access to their backside (once in a blue moon) you can shred some tight tree runs skiers left of Devils Advocate and purgatory wich are marked runs and have the confidence that you are not going to get lost because guaranteed you going to hit the summer access road at the bottom. Unlike Cypress Backcountry where you gotta know your shit or your gonna end up in a gully. Best bet however is Seymour simply because of the amout of traffic back there, so your never really alone.

Ski Patrol the enemy???? wtf! Who's the one that is helping your ass when your in the back counrty with a broken leg and not getting paid for it. Are they still the enemy then??????????

yeah dude i appreciate them hella my moms a ski patroler for that matter but here at mt washington they're fucken nazi's... my buddy got tackled to the ground by one of them because he refused to let them take his skis away.... then when he called the general maniger he said this ski patroller had a hella history of this shit but he was the only one with some special first aid. its bs i got my pass clipped for going inverted then he made sure while clipping my pass to confiscate some headphones off a kid because its a safety hazard

Once in a blue Moon.. the Backside at Grouse opened the tird week of operation last year and stayed open untill april.

Good Old English

Yea but that was because there was enough snow last year which was great... i remember the year before they closed most of the runs under the inferno chair because you could see grass.. urgh what a horrible year that was

really, ive skied switch infront of them before, but i suck at going switch and wasnt going too fast so i guess i wasnt a threat
