whenever i grind a long box my back ski pops off and i eat shit over the front of the box, anyone know how to stop this?

the word grinding means "to reduce power with friction". nothing that has to do with friction is smooth. rail slides are supposed to be smooth, not all rough and nasty like. if you want to "grind" the shit out of a rail you go ahead and do that. i like to slide rails smoothly myself.

oh, and to invader 46...

make sure there isn't snow stuck to the bottom of your boots when you put your bindings on. if there isn't and you still have problems with releasing, tighten your dins a notch or two.

wow what a revelation from sean here he can look up a word in the dictionary, well sean if you really studied the dictionary you would find that some words have more than just one meaning, some even have meanings that are completely the opposite of each other. but thanks for the english lesson anyway.

you don't grind a rail you dumb fucks. This isn't skateboarding. It's called sliding. Always has, always will be.

Again, I emphasize this is NOT SKATEBOARDING. It's nothing like it, so we really don't need to copy their terms. SLIDING SLIDING SLIDING

metal edges to metal edges on the box create a grinding effect, while the plexy glass allows the skis to slide... anotherwards its both. And on a rail you grind(hence the sound coming from your skis against the rail)

my bad i guess i should say slide,

but that sounds stupid if i say.

im gonna go slide.

i like im gonna go jib better

Don't raise your din, thats how you screw up your ankle. You need to buy a stone and detune your inside edge. I had the same problem when I was tryin log jibs in the woods and when I first started grinding/jibing/sliding.
