Great idea, stoked to see companies making an impact on the environment. However, I think it should be extended to ALL Surface models. Next year, maybe?

Reduce your carbon footprint, yo.

And by "extending it", I mean the planting of the trees.

Also, could we get some more info on these possibly? How will the recycled base materials affect durability, ability to hold wax, etc.? And you say 100% local?

Durability will be just as good as any other ski. It's being made with recycled materials from around the factory, not cardboard or something like that. You might have a red sidewall on one side and a blue sidewall on the other, for example. Edges left over that would have been tossed because they weren't used. Things like that.

So its possible to have a ski with 3 or 4 different pieces of edge?

And ya, whats does 100% local mean exactly?

I'm actually really excited about this ski, seeing as it fits my EC needs. Will it have the whole 3 stage rocker thing going on? And how's the flex?

Sorry for the insane amount of questions.

No, edges will be solid and not made of 3 or 4 different pieces.

100% local means made in Huntington Beach, CA, recycled with products from around the factory that all came from the good 'ol US of A.

And, we're planting 10 trees for every ski sold.

well that's just crazy talk we're skiers, leave the tree planting to the tree planters.
