the FF series were convoluted, repetitive, pieces of trash. yeah i said it. look at the combat system...you have to select abilities from a menu? cool combat system, bro. i'll stick with OOT/Majora's mask tyvm

I'm so happy only one or two people have said current COD games. After COD4 they turned to shit. For me its Halo CE, Ocarina, or pokemon red. The nostalgia I get from these games is embarassing.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this! the last level where you rip through the city was the most fun ever.

i gotta add a vote for GTA san andreas too, definitely killed more time playing that than any other game. and Fable. i must have beat that game 5 times but its still fun.
 
Came here to post this, probably not the greatest but definitely my favorite. I solo'd uber trist once but it was sketch as fuck, then I quit.

I'd say WoW deserves a mention 12 million+ paying subscribers or whatever it was shits all over everything.

All dope games here though.

k i was gonna try to argue against this by using halo as an example. but that video makes it look so fkn sick. i bet when that game first came out kids went of the wall.
 
you just said you were gonna argue halo was better until you saw how good contra looked.

have you ever even played a classic game? Super Mario 3, Super Mario World(SNES), A Link to the Past?

 
yeah i have snes but do not play them very often, megaman 5 and Chip'n'Dale are my faves for it.

and i said i was gonna argue against contra via halo, but chose not to because contra looked sick. Halo is still better, but contra looks cool so i didnt want to put it down
 
In terms of story, gameplay and content, I thought about it and came to the conclusion that Chrono Trigger is the best game ever made.

50+ hours, innovative battle system, amazing graphics, deep and involving story with unique and cathartic arcs for every character, who were designed by Akira Toriyama, difficulty is very high but never impossible and on top of those, New Game+ and 13 possible endings. Crazy.

And maybe one final game that I left out of my other Top Three - Deus Ex.

Many can't look past the graphics, or couldn't even when it was released a bit over a decade ago, but people say "When someone mentions Deus Ex, someone reinstalls it" and it's ringed true many times. I recommend it to everyone, and the prequel is not bad at all, although incomparable in terms of playing the game how you want.

find a copy. probably have to order it online unless you have a retro vg store near by. its so much fun and not nearly as easy as that video makes it look.

i was being to hard on halo, 1 was really good, especially multiplayer. the rest were couldnt fill its shoes
