Greatest live show ever? Or the rich person version of woodstock?

saw this and was confused about who they were marketing it towards. 20 year old festies or the rich older people who actually grew up listening to the artists in the lineup? either way too expensive for me but a cool lineup

Both... that's what makes it viable now, their music is popular again

but there is no doubt this place will be filled with shithead hipsters claiming "this is real music" and talking about how deeply rooted they are even though they went to 6 other EDM festivals this summer

There will always be people who are willing to pay. I know someone who paid $1500/ticket for stage side tickets to New Kids on the Block....

i enjoy classic rock. I enjoy pretty much all the music that came from woodstock, the summer of love, the british invasion. i will not spend mad guap to see a bunch of old rockers. is country joe gonna be there?

scratch that i'd pay money to see neil, but the rest are just dying if you ask me. paul mccartney makes terrible music now. Wheres graham nash?, i know david crosby was just touring? they didnt even exactly get the bands they should have... i guess the who is cool.. we need some buffalo springfeild, some traffic.. sheesh

McCartney is fucking dreadful now. Dylan has an awful live set. Saw The Who twice though, albeit coming up 10 years ago now, but they were awesome. Never really cared for Neil Young. Roger Waters will just play The Wall as if it's some classical symphony that needs to be played to exact precision, devoid of any of the character that made Floyd great (take Echoes for example, that track was literally written during live sets).

I don't go to gigs to see rehearsed acts playing music how it was recorded. I want to see them build on it. Take David Gilmour's solo during Comfortably Numb on the PULSE live record, or Led Zeppelin 'Since I've Been Loving You' at MSG.

For that line up 1600 isn't even bad. I paid 580 to be front row at the stones a few years back and I fucking loved it.

Neil Young is burnt out. Saw him at Farm Aid last fall and it was hard to watch. He sang his fucking political agenda and totally skipped out on the many good songs he's written.

I live in LA and love rock and roll and would give my left nut to see the stones and the who before they all croak but these are crack prices and I can't afford it and I'm fucking pissed

Seems like a sick concert but the crowd it would attract seems sketch. Can't stand coachella people.

fuck i'd kill to see the stones live. they were the first concert i ever went to probably 10 or 11 years ago

This thread reeks of noobery. Also one of the worst thread titles and OP's I've seen in a while.

Lollerblades/ get me outta here.
