Greater Equality: How Equality Effectively Determines a Nation's Social Aspects

Yeah, Stalin was a really good person who didn't massacre more people than any other human who ever lived. Communism would blow so hard, why would anyone want to live an a society where there is no pride in achievement and ambition is frowned upon. North korea doesn't have inflation or employment problems and the people there have terrible lives.

There's plenty of people have killed more people than Stalin did. Your'e conflating deaths in natural disasters and famines and war with actual state murders. And for those less fortunate, did it ever occur to you that there might have been fascists and Nazi's loyal to Germany living in the Soviet Union?

Turns out there were quite a few Nazi's just as there were in all the European countries. Stalin just had the good sense to purge them from the party and the army and for that we can thank him and the Communist Party for the victory over the genocidal Nazi German state.

For those who are less fortunate (of which there are quite many in this world) the prospect of a socialist society is highly desirable. Now if you're a rich daddy's boy I don't expect to win someone like you over to the communist cause.

There is often confusion over the concept of meritocracy. In case you hadn't noticed, the capitalist world is not very meritocratic. Those who have a high position in society have often inherited their wealth or are swindlers. In a socialist economy like the Soviet Union high emphasis was placed on achievement and ambition. The difference was that anyone could work themselves up through the socialist economy and positions in government or the economy did not pass to your children. You had to earn your place in society.

well you should prob wake up. russians and putin make fun of america for the fact that communism has taken over the country lol. russians experience far more freedom today than an american does. free private land(dacha), no tax, no gov interference. they ban microwaves and GMO, no backroom corporation bs.

when was the last time you checked the stats of prescription pharmaceutical fatalities in your own country? apparently never lol.

bahahahaa ignorance....

There's truth to this. If America could tax it's way out of debt we would be full blown socualist. Russia is pretty capitalist these days. Which is why there q of l has gone through the roof since commy days

you think liberals are stupid, anyone who isn't good at math, anyone who isn't an engineer in some way, and apparently women too now. haha is there anyone who isn't exactly like you who you DON'T think is stupid?

fair enough. you just think so many things/people are stupid for so many reasons it's hard to tell when you're serious.

North Korea proves your point. Last I checked you can still defect and go there if you like. It's like a time-machine that will take you right back to the 1930s Soviet Union.

Either you're acting the fool because your life is so pathetic that you've taken up a role as the newschoolers.com resident communist out of boredom, or you're just a complete idiot.

1. North Korea is very different from the Soviet Union. I presume you haven't conducted extensive research on the topic.

2. "I envy you North Americans. You live in the belly of the beast." - Che Guevara. There is a lot of work that can be done in the heart of imperialist capitalist system.

awesome thread. i just recently read "the healing of america" and the

book points out just about all the flaws of america's healthcare system and the lack

of egalitarianism in our country is one of the main points emphasized. now that i

think of it, greater equality would definitely be beneficial for any

country in all sorts of aspects outside of healthcare alone
