Grandparents skiing

anybody else out there have hardcore skiing grand parents? My grandpa LOVED to ski... he cant anymore hes in a nursing home and now he goes to summit ski shop and pays 50 cents to use the virtual ski simulator thing. I think im going to wachusett with him in a couple days and hes just gonna chill by the fireplace in the lodge while I take a couple runs. He's more stoked to chill in the lodge and be around skiing for a day then I've been for 2 foot powder days. (I get pretty fucking stoked for 2 foot powder days.)

Most dedicated skier I've ever met... He had 2 replaced, steel hips when he was like 40 and skied heavily into his 70s. The last time he skied was on his 80th birthday.

Anybody else have skiing grandparents? They're the shit.

my grandma and grandpa still love to ski. My grandma texted me (yeah i know, crazy) saying that my grandpa skied with Billy Kidd yesterday and was super stoked on it. haha hope i shred till I'm that old

grandpa helped establish mt.baker ski area. ski patrol/liftie/instructor in the early days. no longer able to ski but he shared some of his knowledge of the mountain from his years skiing and it's very cool to go out and ski some of the same stuff.

My grandpa and grandma are 88 and 87 respectively and still ski a couple of days each year. He's a hardass WWII vet and she still golfs regularly, but they're really slowing down now. I only hope I'll be able to do the things they do when I'm that age, if I ever reach that age. Props to all the old ones out there doing what they love. Really makes me feel like a pussy sometimes when I'm on my couch on NS. Get after it while you still can.

My grandfather used to ski with Stein Erikson. He's in his mid 80s now and still gets a few days a year in.

my grandma is still skiing and shes around 80 atm. Such a great thing to be around older people skiing, I really admire everyone doing that when they're that old.

Both my grandma and grandpa were skiers. They were patrollers at a bunch of local resorts so my dad and uncle could ski free. And during my grandparents 50th anniversary family reunion we got my 75 year old grandpa up on water skis. Gotta say my grandpas kind of bad ass

My grandfather always talked about his experiences over-seas skiing in France. He said he would pay "per-run" which i thought was odd, but hey it was the 50's so.

My grandparents are all dead, (my last grandfather most recently died a couple months ago), but his younger brother (my great uncle), still skis and he's in his 70s. He's got tons of NASTAR medals and trophies from races and mogul comps in the '60s and '70s. Pretty awesome dude.
