iv been doing graffiti for a while now but ive always used three different tag names or whatever popped into my head at the moment and i want to use just one ive narrowed it down to MUSE A.k.A and Cope thoughts?

 
Dude it takes a while to get a name that is right. Just try different ones and you will eventually get one or make up a sick name. Go with muse right now and maybe try doing different ones to get used to the letters.
 
dont use Cope. cope (cope2) is a legendary writer from NY.

there is nothing wrong with using someone elses name. Cope2 means he got his name from an original "cope". if there is an artist your stoked on it is the biggest compliment to use his name and put a number or something after it. it is almost like claiming yourself as his student. but definately work out your stuff in your sketchbook before you put it up. even do some canvases first.. junk graffiti is what gives the art such a bad name.WORD
 
yeah if your going to use someone else's name you have to be
1. an established writer (know your way around a can)2. respectful of the original writer. somewhat devoting of your art to him3. fucking good to pull it off

don't use anyone that famous's name, thats just dumb as fuck

You need a name thats not used. (Its ok if someone has the same name its some random city far away that nobody has heard of, but if its anyone thats known at all, just don't.

You can also ask a graffiti writer to give you a name. I think thats how a lot of writers get their names - from like a mentor or older brother or whoever got them into graff. Nowadays, graff is mad internety so most people just choose a name.

i definitly know not to use other peoples tags i had completely forgotten about cope2 and ive never even heard of MUSE, AkA is kinda retarded to and i don't use it much anyway thnx ns
 
I had never even heard of cope.. and there is a difference between using the name of someone who is well known because they have their name up in so many damn places and using someones name who is just dope as fuck. I think that unless its a name like Taki or Banksy or one of the huge world renouned artists doing the crazy burners.. its fair game. As long as your not biting someones name in your own town.
