Grabs on rail spins

why do people forget that grabs exist when they ski rails?

Like I hardly ever see tricks like 270s on or off with grabs, or any other rails trick for that matter.

don't forget about swaps either

It would be super sick to start seeing some people doing tricks like 450 mute onto/off a rail

drop your thoughts below

is this the future of style?

I always wanted to throw a blind mute 450 off a rail but I was never good enough to accomplish this

Most likely because the airtime between hitting an average rail vs a jump is vastly different. Plus, if you're doing a 450 disaster in the streets and lace it- you won't be saying "ah damn it I should've grabbed"

I love seeing disasters with grabs though. It's extra difficult because you have to think about grabbing while your focus is to land safely on the rail.

Extra hype for the skiers who can grab in the air and hold it through the rail are a special breed. I've tried it with a basic high safety, and it took 5x longer than I expected to lace it. Huge props to Noah and Henrik for mixing grabs into rail tricks.

People do it all the time on bigger features. The Kimbo cannon is virtually all grabs out. They look pretty stupid off of small features tho. A lot of tricks sound really good on paper but in actuality arent that cool aesthetically

I prefer the way it looks without a grab honestly. Shifties and pulling it around late all good. A mix of things is always cool, and down for people to switch it up, but I normally like ungrabbed spins for rails.

it only looks good on bigger features, but stuff like blunt blind 4 out is pretty common.

I seem to remember a shot of Bmack doing a high mute 270 on to a street rail in an edit from like 10 years ago, it looked cool
