okay so this year i want to start grabing more with my spins, i spin left. i can already tail grab and i would like to start trying mutes but i dont really know where to grab, so any explanation of a mute grab would help, and any other easy grabs that are easy to spin with and explanations of those would help too. lastly, i have a question about a grab ive seen; the right ski is crossed over the left ski, and you grab your right ski near the nose with your right hand and the left hand grabs towards the tail of you left ski. what is this called. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a Bunch

my easist mute grab spinning left is left ski over right, grab left ski with right hand. i think thats the only way to do a non-opposite mute? i dont know.

technically no..but it's WAY easier to grab with your left foot on top cause it's closer to you hand. And while spinning left, pretty much any grab will be easier with your right hand.

Oh, and the grab in your original post is probably an Octograb.

Are there any other grabs that are easy with 360s, 540s, and 720s?

And what is a steezy grab to do with floaty 180s?

Try out japans (spinning left, right hand behind right leg grabbing left ski near boot) and opp tails (spinning left, grabbing left tail with left hand).

easiest grab would be safety, just tuck and grab right hand to right ski around the boot area.

japan grab seems like it would be pretty easy too but ive never done them.

floaty 180? shifty it the fuck out.

Not really a grab but i do it all the time and it looks dope, just keep both your feet together and dip your noses down so your skis are like parallel with your body in the air

^Isn't that a true nose? Critical is in front of the binding right hand/right ski or left hand/left ski; take Dumont's critical misty 7's as an example. True tail is opposite tail behind your back and looks really good with "Floaty 180's".

Work on pokes and tweaks with grabs too. Easiest one to do is a japan with a poke, just extend your non grabbed leg while grabbing. With a mute, after you grab just pull it up behind your back to tweak it out.

while were discussing this, when im messing around i always like to grab toe of left boot with right hand, what is this?

and grab one of your tails without crossing them =)

and for easy grabs with spins. mute tail and japan r really the easiest. but im not good with grabs either sooo i cant help you with that to much.
