I don’t think any of the big story line components were necessarily bad but I think the way the last season was written was awful. It was way to rushed, there should have been at least 2 more seasons.

I was able to lower my expectations enough to enjoy the finale. They were able to wrap everything up. Jon snow was brought back from the dead because he was the only one capable of getting close enough to Dani. She wasn’t a fighter so I wasn’t expecting some big showdown.

Bran is king and I’m okay with that. Which is also a problem because so much shit happened during the show that I was not okay with. Because that’s the fucking real world. Powerful people do what they want and fuck other people over. I was not expecting a happy ending.

Leading up to the final episode I had to dig deep into the elements to understand what was happening. The king was born at the tree from dragon glass so that’s where he had to be killed. In the moment I had no idea. Dani killed the rulers of every city she came across. Since it was Kings Landing it shifted our perspective.

The battles were absolute dog shit. I will not watch them again unless I have to. They really pissed me off. I watched the entire Dothraki army die, but somehow half the army ends up in the last episode. The only redeeming fight was between the mountain and hound.
