Got my medical card

Best thing in the world! Any type of weed you would want, fair prices, and its less sketch.
Starting to get legalized one step at a time!

just waiting for my 18th birthday...

btw, how do you go about getting your card? you just go to the doctor and ask right? tell him you have chronic migraines or some shit?

no shit? me too, bought from the dispensary within an hour of going to the office, pretty much the coolest fucking thing in the world.

when i got mine i paid 150 inlcuding state fees. i could have done it cheaper elsewhere but oh well. i said i had chronic knee pain from patellar tendonitis. it was easy as fuck.

i wanna know what you told your doctor to get him to give you a card. it would suck to go see him and get rejected haha

Juvenile? What are you the fun police?

If anything this is less juvenile then selling shitty weed to some poor kids for a ridiculous price. For one this alot safer than dealing with an actual dealer, you get really good weed, and they are all cheaper than your average slice.

Yeah you have to make up some BS to get a card, but i feel there shouldn't be any requirements to buy marijuana legally, just my two cents.

a lot of my friends got them now and have been hitting up the distribution center where I live in Edwards, CO. Prob gonna have to look into it when I get back to the 'rado.

haha explosive thread. I have a herniated disk and all I said was it hurts and I dont want pills to rot my stomach so bud is a safer option, and I was approved! I paid 90 including all fees, not too bad. I can usually get an eight for 55-60 and its prime, I bought white widow last, super dank.
makes me wonder why it took so long to get to this point.

damn you're short sighted. you just severely cut down your job options. why?? because you just put yourself on a readily available list that proves you need to be under the influence of a federally illegal drug to function properly. why would you do that right now when it is so hard to find good jobs?

Seriously it is sad that people don't look down the road a little bit and realize that this could seriously screw their their future career.

Unless you legit need it and nothing else will cure you're pain.

^

when you say "readily available" do you mean "secured and confidential"?

From the Colorado Registry's F.A.Q.:

How is my confidentiality protected?

Your confidentiality is protected by law and by the procedures used by the registry. No lists of doctors, patients of caregivers are given out to anyone. Local law enforcement may only contact the registry to verify the information on a specific identification card. The registry database resides on a stand-alone computer and is password protected and encrypted. The office and all of its contents are locked at night when the registry administrator is out of the office.

Please give a little more info to support your claims.

Depending on the state your info could possibly get out. Most likely when the DEA is raiding your dispensary or some shit. Your future employer can't just call the state and find out if you're a med patient though.

if you are applying for a job at a large company, or any company that has any contracts with the government, then it will show up on a background check. Its amazing that some people think that the government will respect privacy laws. Also most PI's (companies hire them to do the background check) have connections to law enforcement/ government officials, so its really pretty easy to find it out.

The companies will find out and though they can't cite medical marijuana as the reason you are fired or not hired, it will be the reason.

Also unless you pay cash every single time you buy weed, or paid cash when you got your medical liscense, it show up on any basic background check.

I have friends who have cards, and they work for their parents,or live off the grid, or can't find a non-shitty job.

^that's only if you get the physical card. if you have a recommendation like i do, you have to renew it every year but it works the same, and it's documented just like a prescription, which is confidential.

the card is for cooperatives, which obviously put you on a list. but it doesn't matter, if you go on medical insurance provided by your employer(which you will, unless you want to pay out the ASS), they will have access to your medical files. I realize that, medical MJ isn't covered on insurance, but the insurance will look at your prescriptions, and classify you as a high risk individual. Insurance companies get all your info, and because your employer is paying for the majority of the insurance, they can look at your medical record as part of a annual background check.

You know I could probably get one in Michigan if I wanted to...pretty sure medical mj is legal here. I have chronic back pain from breaking my back.

uhhhhh

I had osgoodschlatters disease (aka patella tendonitis) from sports. I also had arch problems, and lower back problems and other knee and foot problems

Instead of smoking weed, which doesnt fix the problem, i got doctor made insoles, free under insurance.

now my problems are fixed, not just feeling better.

that's wierd considering i have asgood, had arch, problems, and lower back trubs. oh and i broke my foot

WERE PRACTICALLY THE SAME PERSON!!!! NO WAI

anyway, i just smoke blunts on a daily routine. maine will only give cannabis cards to three different illnesses as of now.. hopefully that will loosen up in the near future
