Got a seemingly good time lapse Idea

I was thinking about new ways to expiriment with my camera and to do something that stands out and I can implement in a contract or event.

I came up with the idea of getting a slow exposure time lapse of a party (club, lights and everything) basicaly I make it set off multiple second exposures of the crowd with lights going crazy and maybe even walk around with just a flash and making people stand out from the crowd.

Im wondering if logistically this is worth a try because I hate clubs but it would be a good Idea to test the shot before doing it for a client.

i'd say use a somewhat long shutter speed, but not TOO long. A second or two? If it was too long all the lights that alternate would all be on, most of the image would look too blended, etc. But i see what you're getting at

I thought today that the hubble telescope should start being used for timelapses.

like a timelapse of the earth rotating, or the moon orbiting the earth would be sick with like the sun in the background.

I'm not sure if that would work that well due to lighting change from picture to picture. Even with the slow exposures I see it just flashing pink to purple to blue. If you look at the best timelapses they're good because the lighting is very consistent

Not necessarily. Timelapses are starting to be used for research, especially astronomy and geology. I saw a 10-year timelapses of st hellens and it was unreal.

Not the one I'm talking about. It was a photo taken every month and It showed a landslide that slowly occured. Not as good looking as that haha
