this dude and his buddy were skiing at keystone and starting talking mad shit for literally no reason as out skiers. i over heard them, he was on his knees just chilling. (i’m kinda passive aggressive) but after i heard him i just nose tapped his snowboard and skier switch away from him. they started to follow me and a couple of my buddies but could keep up. we stopped, they came HAULING into us and fell and started swinging. my buddy hit his helmet and snagged his gopro and they were calling us faggots and retards. so we just skied away. are we in the wrong for stealing shit..? dude literally started swinging on us for me tapping his board after they were yelling at us.

hmmm if direct enough a homophobic slur could be considered "fighting words" in which case you might have some legal justification for fighting back but not for stealing from them, having the tainted go pro in your possession is probably not a choice I would make at this point especially since it is a small world etc.

if you do think it was to the point of what the courts consider 'fighting words' then do the public a favor and potentially find out exactly who these guys are with the data from the camera and hand it over to the authorities. 'fighting words' are basically the legal equivalent to walking up to someone and slapping them in the face and that is not the sort of thing that should go unchecked really
 
Agreed, maybe try to get their GoPro back to them or at least have a friend give it to the mountain lost and found, they can cover for you and say that they found it in the snow.

but these dudes sound like nutjobs... how old were they? Just curious because this story makes them sound like 14 year olds
 
easily late 20s early 30s which is why i feel no remorse towards the situation.
