Gore mountain

Foxlair>sunway>quicksilver>3b>jamboree. Ruby run will be an alternate way down to Sunway this weekend. Lower Sunway is looking to be fair game as well. And Jamboree off of the double mid-station. Jibs are probably going to be the shotgun down and the flat box again down by the base area. Probably served off the poma?
 
By the looks of the donkey dick that they built, I would have to say no. This fucker has at least a 40 degree kink. Sure and instant death.

Was there Saturday. The down rail was fun, but then they had this dumb staggered box, and these stupid wooden things WHO THE HELL LIKES WOODEN THINGS

So, basically, by the outlook on their decisions made during preseason, Gore is trying really hard but has no idea what the fuck they're doing.
 
Supposedly Burton came and offered to make gore a park last year ( maybe stash? idk) but the manager turned them down.Hearing stuff like that just makes me sad
 
Idk how that system works, but I could imagine a decent financial investment on Gore's part was the reason why if its true
 
Thats what gore does....they have several offers from a lot of people to build shit. Jason does am ok job running things but he is stuck in his ways and has a thing for hiring gapers. This rails a perfect example...im sure he made it and thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread.
 
Gore's got a fuck ton of money, they just suck at putting any of it into their park. They been building some new stuff recently which is good, they need to step it up. They've also never learned how to build a jump correctly.

The mountain itself is fucking awesome and totally worth the $350 youth pass but the park will probably always suck.

 
was there today. some of the grippiest rails in the world. my edges got sanded down pretty bad and i got thrown forward on them. forget gore for park. just ski the woods and the upper mountain steeps.
 
The old rails aren't bad other than the fact that they're all 8' sections.

The new rails are a joke. Some of the sketchiest metal ever. You can bend them with your body weight. And I don't mean they flex, I mean actually bend.

Me and danetron fixed the shotgun rail there by standing on each end with the middle leg on a small flat rail. Just go up to the cbox and shake it.

The mountain is phenomenal though. The real glades, secret glades, upper mountain, so many good spots.

Lies, going deep in chatty glades, so much good terrain. Unfortunately park will never be a priority there. I'm glad they're kind of almost trying the last few years though. They've been building new features which is a plus.

If I make it up there I'm going to find out what the angle is on that Down flat rail.
 
Yea i agree. I definitely do not ski gore for the park. Its all about the deep chatty glades, double chair glades, lies, rumor, even twister trees is fun when there is snow, blastin through there.
 
The best thing about twister got raped and murdered for echo of whatever that new trail is. Tragic.

I dropped the rope on one of the chutes on double barrel the day after that vday storm 6 years ago. Ffffresh tracks on a steep ass trail, one of the best drops of my life.

If gore wants to be about park skiing they should get new rials and bring back the gully. Actually just put a lift in there, and leave a pile of steel and let kids do whatever they want.

yeah it's both of those chutes. The one under the gondola and the quad chair from the head wall cut off to rumor trail.

Shit's a blast because it has the pitch, if you get the snow that shit is awesome. As much as I've really only done freestyle for the most part I consider myself a freeride guy. When there's good snow that mountain is awesome.

Thank god they put in the gondola and topridge triple. Cloud on a snowboard is a fucking joke.
 
my friend rode it twice and he said it feels like slamming into a concrete wall. this feature was only in for one day.
