Gopro SD card problems

I got the Hero 960 for christmas and was super stoked. So I went out and bought an sd card but when i tried to put it in the camera was still telling me that there was no SD card inserted. Did I buy the wrong one and/or has anyone else had these issues?

is it class four or higher? there should be a little number somewhere on the card with a circle around it. look for it.

hard to say....need more info on which particular SD card you bought

may wanna throw that SD card into your computer and format it first

Go into the setting on your gopro and format it (read the directions to find out how). Mine didn't show up at first but then I formatted it on the gopro and it started showing up.

On the side of the sd card there is a small button, if your drag it up you may unlock your card or lock it!!

Sparknotes:there is a lock that stops the device to save or recgonize the memory card!!
