GoPro or Contour ?

Both are really good.

But what made me get a GoPro was its versatility. There's not a single mount out there that can't accommodate any emplacement you would wish with the GoPro.

go pro in my opinion contour looks better on the side of ur head and how its smaller but go pro is more waterproof and i just like it better

if you use it on snow: Gopro

If you use it on water: Gopro

If you care about sound quality: Contour, but both suck.

Any other situation: Gopro

Gopro hero 2, contours suck because you can only mount them 1 way and the gopro has a way wider angle of view so you don't miss your shot. I am guessing the gopro also takes better video, I haven't wasted my money on the contour for a reason.

Well, it's hard to say but you can compare them..

GoPro has a way better versatillity, but a very crappy sound quality.. theGoPro is also pretty waterproof.

GoPro comes with the 2 wich is amazing.

About Contour, the problem is that you can only mount them one way and works not very good with water..

The quality: i dont know very much about this, i believe it doesnt really matter, they both film at 1080p i believe..

As Skier i would prefer GoPro..

If you buy the universal mount for contour you can use it in many ways ie. pole mounts, grips, frames of bikes etc... they also sell an optional water proof case if you are that bothered,

But for snow it's absolutely fine, and for biking its awesome because it's quick to adjust to the lighting when you're biking in the forest.

Me personally i hate the bulkiness of the gopro, you don't even realise you're wearing the contour. and if you have the GPS you can see what your camera angle is on the iphone. which i think is pretty badass.

I would recommend Gopro, especially since the new HD Hero 2 came out. Had the contour last season and I found turning it on and off to save battery life between runs to be a hassle, button is rubber and you have to hold it in and it doesnt always respond. The Gopro comes with the waterproof case and many mounts which you can screw to a pole etc. For the contour you have to pay more to get the case and better mounts. All in all I think you get way more bang for your buck with the Gopro.

Oh and I really have to mention this:

GoPro customer service is incredible. I had a faulty quick release buckle that did not unclip. They sent me a new one free of charge and communication with them was absolutely fantastic. Great customer service all around.
