GoPro Lag?

Hey guys,

So I just ended up borrowing a GoPro from a friend, and downloaded the app onto my phone (its an iphone 4s if that helps) to see what I'm shooting. I'm going to have a friend a couple of some underwater shots, so its kind of essential that I can see where he is pointing the camera. Anyways, so I hooked up the wifi to my phone, and I'm noticing a ton of lag between where I point the camera, and what I see on my phone screen (like a 5 s delay at least). Any tips?

The Gopros have trouble sending the video signal to the phone over wifi in real time. theres going to be about at 5 second delay with the gopro hero 3. I think the 3plus has less delay but I havent tested it yet. If there are alot of other wifi signals around that might slow it down but I'm not sure on that. wifi signals are also weaker when they have to travel through water or walls or anything that isnt really air. Im not sure how you can really fix the delay with the built in wifi on the camera.
