Gopro hd into FCE... (mp4 to mov?)

So I can't get gopro hd files to work in FCE, what I've heard is that you have to convert the mp4 files into mov, so I was wondering what most people use to do this? thanks

not another GoPro editing thread.... sorry no hate but come on... Since your using a mac, use MPEG Streamclip to covert the video, its free on Apples website.

i really think there needs to be one gopro editing thread that would cover and disscus all of the problems people are having with editing thier footy
