How come the pros like Tom and Jesper always use the gopro brand frame and not the waterproof housing. Even in powder they use the frame. Should I start using the frame?

because the plastic housing degrades quality (obv if you have something plastic in front of the lens the camera isnt gonna perform at it's best.

The gopro's splashproof without it, just don't go dropping it into the water or anything
