Gopro-final cut express-to the internet

sooo thanks for clicking now heres the problem
i filmed recently with a go pro hero hd and decided to make an edit. upon converting the .mp4 files to .dv files it lost some quality but i didn't think much of it. so exported it from final cut express to a .mov so i could upload it because i couldn't upload it straight from final cut? and then i uploaded it as a .mov to vimeo and the quality was horrible and it didn't have the hd option. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong?

if i didnt just delete final cut i would be able to walk you through this. sorry mitch

 
now when i use mpeg streamclip to convert them to .mov it says its taking 50% out of the quality and won't let me change it... help?
 
thanx jamie but i figured that out now. but i converted to .mov and now they won't go into final cut express? what the fuck eheath
 
I dunno? how did you compress them?

I converted my gopro mp4 files into dvcprohd mov and i could drop them in my normal timeline. h264 mov should work in FCE easily...
