GoPro Broken

So I was going to use my GoPro for the first time skiing when i noticed the latch for the housing was broken. I had only ever used it while jumping on the trampoline before and had never dropped it or stepped on it or anything like that. So what I was wondering is if GoPro would cover this under they're warranty.
 
Mine broke like that too, but I had used it for like a year and played with the latch way more than I should have. I ended up buying another case. It was only like $20 and it came with another back plate, so that's a plus. Honestly I didn't even bother with finding out if it was under warranty, but it might be. If it's not, just buy another for the $20.
 
you can get that covered by GoPro no problem. My friend was biking with mine, fell, and the latch broke. I emailed GoPro telling them what happened and they wrote back telling me to send them a picture of the broken latch. I did, and about a week later I got a new latch in the mail.
