As of yesterday, Google+ is now in open beta.

Theres my invite code for anyone interested, I'd sure as hell like to get an "NS" circle to share ski edits and such with, ya know?/

Just throwing this out there, I personally like it more, it just seems more streamlined and with more features.

a bunch of us in M&A have had an NS circle for a while now, but I like the idea of getting things going again

It's definitely worth a shot now that it's open. The thing with Google+ is paradox: No one wants to join because there's not many people, which only changes when they join. Someone has to take initiative to join first.

So I was thinking. What is this circle and what can you do in it (ex. make threads, post vids, etc)?

Bc if we could all just join it could be just like NS but everyone would have a face. I feel like there would be less trolling and bs, and better discussions because people wont be as anonymous.

I'd like to say it is like that, but it's not quite. Circles pretty much allow you to group friends into different areas, (the defaults are family, friends, acquaintances, and following). I'd have to look into it more to find out if there is something like that (IE hangouts or something) that would allow us to perform something like that.

And Rachy, challenge accepted

Taco, it was just an idea for getting more people to use it, probably not as well thought out as it could've been, I meant more like sharing it among closer members.

TheLorax, have you actually read the privacy statements for Facebook? They're not all that great, they do the exact same types of things G+ does, but G+ gives you a lot more control over what information in your profile is shared to who.

As for those saying it is a failure, it's your loss.

IMO, G+ does a much better job at what Facebook is meant to do, its just that Facebook is too well established to get a large following on other sites. If Google+ does get off the ground (which I'd like it too), it will be better than Facebook. That's just my opinion.
