How is everyone scoping sick ski runs and shit with google earth these days, Like I was reading an article on some back country skiing up in baffin island and they were all scoping sick couloirs and shit from it. When I use google earth I can't get anything close to good enough to be able to tell whats a cliff and whats a chute when I zoom in. what am I missing here

I don't really know how/why it works. but i have used it a lot and some areas you can never focus in close on and then some areas i can see a lot of detail. But when you can get a good focused area it is really cool and i could see scoping some cool runs.

Maybe in your area there isn't sufficient detail.

While I was in whistler the imagery for that area is fantastic and with google earth zoomed in and oriented right you could plan out whole day tours off the glacier and see all the lines.

]damn actually got it to work half decently for whislter and then went and scoped some lines up on Baffin Island. Can't really tell 100% if their skiable just cause the exits look a lil sketchy on some of them but man this is like one ridge of a mountain just riddled with um
