I recently got a pair of Goode poles for all mountain skiing and they are a little long for my likeing. Previously i have just been able to smack the grips off with a hammer but not these. I also ran them under hot water and havent had any luck. Iv searched and havent found anything that works. Any suggestion would be great thanks.

Put some pipe gloves on and sit on the ground. Put the pole between your feet (please wear shoes) right below the grip and push with your legs and pull with your hands...try not to die.

I can't wait to see the news story about how he stabs him self in the throat and dies. wait yes I can that would be bad.

If you lock your elbows and push with your feet, then you shouldn't stab yourself in the throat/chest/eye

I stuck my poles in a vise and screwed the grips off. They weren't threaded I just twisted them to work them loose. The vise fucked the poles up because they were composite, so make sure you clamp down only on the part you're gonna cut off.
