Goodbye NS

After a lot of soul searching, I've recently come to a difficult decision. I've devoted my life to skiing for over a decade, and to running Jibij for the past 6 years, but I've decided it's time to move on. I've seen an incredible amount of growth and change for our tiny segment of the sport, and I'm proud that I was able to be involved in it.

I was at the first US Open, where the athletes had to help make the jumps. Now we have the Dew Tour, which gives incredible exposure and pays better than any of the skiers at that first Open could have imagined. The level of skiing now is beyond anything I ever thought possible, and I'm excited to see where it will go. The technology boost in recent years has also changed skiing forever, and the advances in skiing will be amazing to see.

It was always a dream of mine to have a shop like Jibij, and I want to thank everyone who supported the store and allowed me to live the dream life. It gave me incredible opportunities and experiences, and I will always value them. I hope that I made a positive impact on the sport and helped it progress. It was a privilege to sponsor and work with so many incredibly talented people, and it's great to see so many people I started with making a big impact on where skiing is headed. The sport is in good hands.

I'm off to try something new, but I will still be skiing no matter where I go. I encourage everyone to follow their dreams, and remember to ski because it's fun.

Dude...you are saying no more JIBIJ? No more decent ski shops in Boulder?

I am so sorry, you were the only shop I have EVER gone to, where the owner remembers my name, where the owner actually cared about the industry and about the freesking scene. This makes me sick. Is there no way?

dude very legit post. I wish you the best of luck wherever you go and the people on ns will always remember you, peace man.

this made me sad for some reasongood luck with whatever you come to doi hope jibij goes to good hands.

one: this needs to be a stickytwo: thank you josh for giving so many amazing updates. I have grown up with them and appreciate everything you have done for our sport. thank you and good luck.

Been getting a lot of messages so I'll just post in here again. There is no more Jibij, unless someone wants to buy the name. But frankly I would have to be sure it's someone who will have the same vision and dedication for the brand that I did.

You will be missed. Thanks for everything you've done for our sport.

I'm sure you'll be successful in whatever venture you try next.

I'm gonna miss you jibij. I bought a sweet jiberish hat from you a few years ago, and although it has (unintentionally) passed into different hands, it was a steezin hat.

no jibij?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DONT GO JOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there needs to be a step back before a step forward...
hats off to you, i am sure you have thought long and hard about this decision and i am sure what ever project you are going to do afterwords will be just as epic/more epic than jibij.
and even if it isnt, you still made quite an impact, and i am sure u have a shit load of good experiences, friends and stories.
keep on truckin!

It sounds like one of the many April Fool's jokes that NS saw on the first. It's such an intense thread it just seems like it can't be true.

Unfortunately, it is true, which is sad, but Big ups to Josh and the best of luck.

Please dont go.....What about the stuff on the store already? Like next years amplids? I was gonna pre-order some. When is the official closing date? Good luck either way I guess. :(

NOOOOO now who will sponsor all the sick up and coming pros. I just bout my pants and skis from JIBIJ. This shit sucks.

Wish you the best, i had ordered a few things from jibij back in the day and it was always a good experience, you and jibij will be missed.

Don't fuck with me right now Mr. Bryant. I am on my menstrual cycle and I am very emotional. I will not hesitate to get to the bottom of this, sir. You mark my word.

In all serious though, good luck man. The shop was sick, the team was off the hook. Thanks for giving me directions to Eldora last year in the middle of the summer man. Helped a lot. Peace
