Good tripods and camera bags

I’m looking for a new tripod and waterproof camera bag this season but don’t no where to start looking. Any ideas?

Tripods I could go on forever about, but dakine makes decent camera bags, but fstop makes the best bags IMO theyre more expensive. Honestly, a backpack with any padding will be fine.

Thats gonna be tough, if you can find some older used manfrotto 501 head with legs that arent broken, thats a good start, but any tripod in that budget is going to be a cheap pile that is made to hold a photo camera. But, I understand it can be tough to cough up the cash for a good tripod, but its worth it down the road.

Hard agree, money better saved in this case to the right point of entry into a tripod. I've used and abused my 501 head for years and it's still kickin.

Also tripods are nice and I love shooting on mine, but keep in mind that lugging it around all over the hill/mountain is a task. If you are committed to filming and enjoy getting the shot its very worth and enjoyable though.

Burton makes two camera bags and both are solid and you can find them used for a decent price. The large one is the f-stop and the small one is called the zoom. I got my zoom for 60$ and it’s a good bag.
