Good skiing place to live in the states!

Me and my family are maybe gong to spend one year in the states but we havnt decided where yet. I want to live somewhere with good skiing and my parents dont mind that either but where? Hopefully a place with a good college, a good ski slope not too far from the city and it would also be nice if there was any urbans there but i guess thats harder to hit in the US. I was thinking park city seems like a nice place. Any sugestions?
 
So your whole family is planning to just up and move to a random city, not for any spefic reason like work or anything? I'll ask the obvious question here... Who did you guys kill?
 
My parents work for the university and once every 3-4 years or so they can go on a sabatical leave or something like that, we all want to go to the states for one year as we have lots of family but we are not sure where. So it is beacuse of work, im not shure how the system is but we have done it 2 times before :)
 
Denver would be a hour drive to your good resorts. Salt Lake less than 30. Up to you.
 
Park City is very cool. People are very much into themselves, but love to party. Sandy is close to LCC.

Burlington, and W. Lebanon might be fun.
