Hi everyone,

I'm just getting back into the ski scene after a couple slow seasons.

I haven't been looking to closely at skis and whatnot up until now, because i have been working weekends for the last couple years(i'm in high school, so i can't ski during the week), but this year, ive managed to land a good job(weekdays) and have a car to drive up to the hills with.

I'm 6'1" and weigh around 210. bsl is 315 or 318(i think, i know its size 27 boots) and i'm looking for a new setup this year, maybe 60%rails, 10%jumps and the other 30% just on whatever. I don't need a super wide ski because it is mostly gonna be ridden in ontario at MSLM or Dagmar. I dont have a budget, but don't want to spend a fortune on new stuff. i think i'd be mounting my skis about -3 or 4 from center.

What are some good stiff skis that are 181+cm?

What kind of bindings are suited to something like this?

Is there any online stores that you would recommend?(i'm in canada btw.)

Thanks in advance for any help, hope to see a few NSers out on the slopes this year.

Is there a noticeable difference between the 07-08 and the 09-10 models? untracked has the 08s for only 300, should i grab those or the new ones(for 580)?

Thanks for the help,

a couple friends of mine said that the prophet 90 would also be a good choice, and it comes in a 186.

And for bindings, do you think the griffon wil be enough or should i get the jester? my old skis had some look/rossi 12 din bindings, they were set at 10, but i probably weighed 170ish when i got them(06-07 season)

Bindings? Go with anything with a good amount of metal in it if you can. anything with a 12 din is going to contain quite a bit too much plastic crap for you. try some tyrolia mojo 15's or some FKS or some jesters... or just about anything over 14 din i guess.

Skis? If you're looking for a stiff ski for park or more for all mountain?

I weight like 180-190 and I really like my scratch ghetto's, for you they would be a little more flexy and probably perfect. Im not sure why you want such a stiff ski when you are going to be doing 60% rails though.

As for bindings, I bought cheapy din 12 bindings and they lasted a season, they might last another.
