i just watched American Beauty. the first time i watched it, all it did was piss me off, then this time i realized that it deals with a lot of the same shit as Donnie Darko. Donnie Darko is still a 200x better flick though.

best movie i have ever seen in a LOONG time, is donnie darko. Memento was pretty good, i liked dogma a lot, american beauty was really good, identity was pretty chill, i didnt like mulholland drive with the exception of a scene.

^a little stereotypical at times, but overall funny and then ending makes you think about originality. Lock stock and two smoking barrels and snatch are both good comedies, american beauty was surprisingly brilliant. Fight Club is still a favorite, but the book was a million times better. read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. its sheer brilliance and not too long either. only like 250 pgs i think.

yeah fear and loathing in las vegas was a crazy movie, i didnt really see any points in it, other than a few minor ones, but maybe im not thinking enough, it didnt seem to have as much of a point or meaning to it as donnie darko, thats the only thing
