I have a canon t3i and I'm looking for a good fisheye lens that won't bust my bank account. just for my own personal use and shooting friends doing various action sports activities.

yes, this is a very noob question.

I was looking at Rokinon's lens actually, I just don't know anyone with it so I have no idea how the quality is.

I've got the Opteka 6.5 mm fish and I have had good results, most of the pictures in my profile came from it.

It's the same as the other Rokinon/Bower/Vivitar/Phoenix/etc. all these lenses are manufactured by a Korean company called Samyang.

Why the Opteka says 6,5mm instead of 8mm beats me, to my knowledge and understanding they are all the same lens.

yep. that cheap Rokinon/Samyang/Bower/Opteka/whatever lens is definitely your best choice I'd say for an affordable fisheye.

Yep, I always just assumed it was because it sounded wider, haha. Mine has been beat up pretty bad and just keeps on going. Just find one of these op, I think I just saw one on b&h for under $200 but I'm not sure.
