Good filming techniques

If you are trying to make a video, the most important thing is variety. Use as many different shots as you can. Some ideas that come to mind are: close up with a fisheye lense, far away zoomed in, follow cam, a shot of just the lip of the jump, and a shot of only the landing. There is more, just be creative. If you dont use variety, your video will be very boring. good luck!

lol, this coming from the kid who wasted an half an hour of logans batteries filming the inside of his backpack in his locker.

thanks tips

haha pawn

As evan said, shaky shots ruin everything, so concentrate on getting a good angle lined up and keeping the shot smooth and the skier in full view

tripod, dolly, and crane=the most baller shots u will ever get

dolly and crane for when u become more advanced at the stuff eh?

follows are pretty easy to do clean, i think the best follows are when your using just a wide angle, not fisheye, or just long lense and using the lcd screen to keep them perfect in the shot, they can look amazing. and handheld is alot easier for some stuff when a tripod would move too slowly to get the shot. plus tripods can be a pain in the ass to take around, especially if your moving around alot.
if your gonna be 500 feet away filming a 70 footer for a couple hours, then you need a tripod, but when your just cruising around the park hitting everything its much better to go without one.

i thought it was pretty smooth, there were only like 2 shots where you could notice shaking, the rest were pretty damn smooth, also the dvc30 is a small camera, its alot easier when you have a bigger heavier camera to make it smooth.
