Anyone know of some good free editing programs that I don't have to torrent? I'm gonna start making edits this winter, so it has to be simple but good quality. +K for answers.
 
Actually I just got the trial for a program called Muvee, it's just what I needed. Super simple. I made a quick edit in like 10 minutes.
 
jep, search for a tutorial on youtube on how to get it for free, vegas pro 9 will do as well, and imho was alot easier to hack than vegas pro 10....
 
i always used premiere pro but if you think about it, from a purely cutting standpoint, you dont need much more than soft/hard cuts and the ability to time the music accordingly. and i bet that every program can do that.

fancy effects, triangle/circle/checkboard transitions or other stuff are kinda fucked anyway.

for 99% of people on this site. movie maker is more than enough imo. try using more than 20% of premiere and come back at me if you think youre "so good" or whatever (not op, but general "artists" around here)
 
For me premiere is the best. I wish i had it. Color correcting is a huge plus and plugins like mb is amazing. I have vegas, but its really annoying having to use neo scene to have a more manageable workflow. Also the ability to editing audio even a little is a HUGE plus. I agree you don't use alot of the tacky shit, but alot of the tools on these softwares are a necessity for making decent videos. I could go on a lot longer but those are the first things that come to mind.

Oh and if anyone has a torrent + crack + keygen for After Effects i would love it. I belive 1337. gave me one once but it was for mac. Pc version plzzz
 
I 'got' premiere pro and later Sony Vegas for the same laptop, but the computer was too slow and cheap to keep up and kept crashing. Building an alienware now, or does anyone say different? Not Mac I suck at em
