did some digging, you will notice a tiny tiny tiny 'made in china' sticker on the tail of the left ski.

so yeah, the Early Rises which are now marked down to $133.00 are also a pair of ninthward skis not made in the USA or in the ELan Factory.

Looks like they’re still available- it’s a great ski for anyone in the area.

ninthward early rises are also still poppin on geartrade. You would think a lot of stuff would be showing up for the 4th of July weekend sales, but I’m not having a lot of luck in my very very cursory searches

It’s a completely redesigned ski from the ground up and holy shit is it so much better then the 95 imo! Honestly one of the better new park skis coming out this fall!

I very much agree. I have only ever purchased direct through corbetts. Both pivots and currently have strive 16 arriving Sunday.

my point was on the eBay link you are not paying the CAD. Wasn’t disagreeing it’s still coming from Corbett’s. So to get the best price you have to buy direct.

You guys are all idiots lol. It coverts to usd on their site too. The prices are the same on both sites. Although that's kinda dumb on their part cuz ebay charged final value fees.

It converts when you buy direct from corbetts. It does not convert when you buy from ebay. Which is why it shows the the price as $307 us plus tax.

if it a CAD price that converts then it would show the conversion rate as pictured above. So, No only you’re the idiot.

by all means buy it on eBay and prove me wrong.

To take it even one step further. When an item does get converted because it’s being sold in a foreign currency you get the option to convert.

aso doesn’t give you that option, because they are charging you in US. Which is how they make up the final value fees.

that’s also why it’s not called Corbetts. Other wise people would be asking why are you charging two different prices.

I wasn't talking about ebay's conversion I was talking about how most webpages will automatically adjust the currency to your native currency before you get to checkout.

But yeah you're right. I found the CAD mark in the checkout details.

Really weird. I wonder if they're aware of this discrepancy. That's super low for p18. Most places have for $100-150 higher

When you actually check out that HST fee will also drop off. You’ll only be paying the $307. So it will end up like 238.

here’s my receipt from them. I was given the option to use PayPal to convert or my bank. I chose my bank as PayPal jacked you for extra.

Pivots are about $100 cheaper in Europe too. I swear usa ski gear prices shot up when COVID hit

The only significant difference is the pants... snowboard pants don't have reinforced cuffs on the inner side like a lot of ski pants do and thus get shredded rather quickly. I had some Burton bibs which were fine in all ways except for the inner cuffs.
