no its all about what feels better in your hands, and the d700/d300 are amazing cameras

very true, its honestly just how you feel with the camera..both will/can and do create amazing pictures

i will say however to advice you against buying the XS, i really don't like it, for that much you can get a 20d with a decent lens not a cheap kit lens
