Wuddup. Its summer and I love camping in the summer so I wanna ask you guys where are your favorite places to camp near or around CO? One of my personal favorites is Green River, WY. Its only six hours away from Denver so its not a terrible drive and is such a dope place. Heres a pic, the mountain in the back is called round top mountain and is a sick hike.

^rampart? are you serious, not only is it sketchy and people have gotten murdered there it's flat and boring.

go to twin lakes outside of leadville. or down pine valley road close to evergreen.

It's one of the only places I have been so I thought it was alright. Twin Lakes is nice I've never camped there though.

haha Green River Wyoming is a shit hole in the middle of WY wasteland. That picture has got to be from somewhere at least 2 hours away. And if you're driving 6 hours from Denver, you should really be going somewhere that doesn't look like it's 45 minutes away.

Anyway, less people camping the better, I hope you spend every weekend up there!

I've camped off the Arkansas River In Buena Vista. About 3 hrs from Denver. There are some great spots near the water and its good kayaking/rafting.

Nope you are completely wrong. Thats Green River Lake right outside of Green River, WY. Look up Round Top Mountain. Its right next to Green River, WY.

For good car camping near Boulder/Denver you can head north from Nederland towards Ward and there's a dirt road that accesses a public (free) camping area off to the right of the road.

Good stuff, you can pretty rowdy up there if you're looking to keg and camp. Or just use it as a home base for hiking out of Nederland (4th of July Trailhead isn't far)

Oh, and Green River is a shithole. The Wind River Mtns in Whyoming are nice too. Good climbing and not many people.
