I need to know what are some good boots that i can get for $100 that will last me a couple years. My size know is 25.5 but im thinkin like a 27 or something what do you guys think?
1st of all good luck, second if you wear a 25.5 do NOT get a 27, you could hurt your self, break your foot and just be too loose to even use. If you are going to buy that cheap anyways get your own size. The boots will compac out with time and you should be fine.
why so big? you thinking you are gonna be growin? the thing with ski boots is they gotta be form fitting to perform well and like fakie said, you can bust yourself if they are too big and loose. ebay is a great way to go, but i would also be looking out right now at the end of this summer for local ski swaps. you can always find some cheap deals there. or ask your local shop if they got any used stuff for sale.
yoo i have some line transfer ski boots i am gonna sell, they have been used for 3 runs so, i consider them brand new, i will sell them for like 150, but i will probably put it up on ebay
yeah big boots equal shin bang... and really big boots equals injury, dont do it buy some that fit... i had this problem last year my boots sucked! so this year im gettin the 1080's or rossi softs

yeah my boots were a tiny bit too big last season and i always stubbed my big toes landing big jumps cuz my foot would slide forward into the boot and slam against the front that tiny bit. i still have blue toenails from that shit. save your pennies and at least spend like 200 and get the right size. nordica makes good boots that are pretty cheap, check them out.
lange jib concept boots are a great boot for the price and they are desgineed specifically for jibbing. getboards might still have them, only 139 last time i checked i believe.
I say try on whatever you have in the local shop (new or used) and choose the ones that fit the best. Like snonasty said, stubbing your toes hurts, I had that last year.
Boots, to me, are the most important part of your set-up. If they're uncomfortable, you're not going to enjoy being up skiing.
To the person who said 'I spend my money on my skis', well, you are retarded. Skis don't really mean much when it comes to your skiing skill and style and whatever, whereas boots can make a difference. If it's uncomfortable to land you'll be finding a way of landing that's more comfortable for you which could look kinda dumb, or you could not go big at all because of the pain.
chris u should wait for the swap and get some boots i got some tecnica boots for 25 bux all the shit there is cheap take my advice and wait for the swap i mean u could get boots and nice goggles with a 100 bux wait for the swap...
Spend mo' money on the boot, your skis aren't going to hurt at the end of the day... You can get brand new Dalbello's for cheap on closeout for a little more than $100...
