book of eli style novels. fuck that was a good movie. i want to read about this kind of stuff.

any suggestions?

i'm also down with novels like into the wild. shit that's all man vs nature, survival style.

oh, but nothing aliens. fuck aliens. they just creep me out.

this.

the only real post apocaliptic book that i have read is "the road" which was pretty decent.

for man vs wild, "the beach" is fuckin amazing. also "between a rock and a hard place" was pretty good. also check out some more books by the guy who wrote into the wild, they are all pretty damn good too

The Road - Cormac McCarthyOne of the best books I have ever read. I finished it in two days.

I have heard that Oryx and Crake by Margarett Atwood is also good.

i heard the road made people want to jump in front of a truck.

well, my boss told me that. and this is a guy who's been in the army as a physiotherapist in afghanistan for 5 years in war zones basically living as a survivalist and loves the zombie / post apoc scene himself. he's pretty badass. true story

plus i dont know if i'd be down for a father / son love story.

If you're also down with not necessarily POST apocalyptic, but just apocalyptic as well as zombie-esque stuff, check out Hater by David Moody. There are two more after it, but that's the first and best.
